A Little About Us

Charlie’s BBQ was started in 2007 by Steve and Charlie Hoertkorn, who are father and son. We had been smoking meats for years, starting in our backyard on a $40 Weber charcoal grill. We began smoking meats as a hobby at first, but reputation for our pulled pork, ribs, and of course our BBQ sauce soon spread through our friends and family. We started making meats for parties they would have and more requests would come after each one . We then were interested in possibly starting either a restaurant or a take-out business. When the empty lot where our restaurant now sits came up for sale, it all seemed to fall into place and we began construction...
